Curricular Bands
In the inaugural year of the Felton Grove High School Band Program, we are excited to offer two classes in the first semester. One class will cater to all 9th and 10th graders who play brass and woodwind instruments, while the other will be dedicated to 9th and 10th grade percussionists.
Both classes will meet daily to rehearse musical performances as an ensemble and to enhance their individual playing skills. The goals of the curricular band program are to enrich students' awareness of music in our culture, cultivate an appreciation for the rich history of musical performance worldwide, and teach students to excel both individually and as part of a group.
Students enrolled in the fall and/or spring band classes can also choose to join the FGHS Marching Band and other ensembles.
In December, auditions will be held to place students in either the Concert Band or the Symphonic Band.
